About Caroline Simone Counselor and Attorney at Law Simply put, I am a trial lawyer. Even before my graduation from Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law, I have dedicated myself to the practice of criminal law. With four years of experience as a criminal prosecutor, and several more as a defense attorney, I have a unique perspective of the law. Even before I was an official attorney, I interned in the Federal Public Defender’s Office and then for two different reputable criminal defense attorneys, always striving to gain as much insight into both perspectives as possible. Not only do I know how both sides think, but I understand what it takes to thoroughly prepare and succeed under pressure-filled circumstances. So, if we are not able to achieve a reasonable outcome through negotiations, you can count on me to aggressively attack the criminal charges against you in trial. I have tried many cases and feel very comfortable in the courtroom. I have earned the distinction of being BOARD CERTIFIED IN CRIMINAL LAW by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. In addition, I was selected for inclusion in 2015 Texas Rising Stars, an honor limited to only 2.5 percent of attorneys in the state. Empathetic Approach to the Law While I take great pride in my trial experience and success in the courtroom, resolving your criminal case is merely one aspect of my legal practice. I take the responsibility of being a counselor and attorney at law to heart. In addition to aggressively fighting for your rights, I am focused on compassionately counseling you and your family through any difficult issues that may arise. This approach is particularly helpful when dealing with certain offenses related to drugs or alcohol, especially when treatment programs may be in your best interest. No matter what, I will personally handle your case from start to finish, with the primary goal of putting you in a better position in life. More About Caroline Simone I have long understood the value of hard work and dedication. Prior to ever becoming an attorney, I was an NCAA softball player at Trinity University in San Antonio ? earning the SCAC Conference Player of the Year Award. My competitive nature persists today as an attorney, which becomes quite apparent every time I walk into a courtroom.
