Bussart Law Firm was founded in 1968 by Walter Bussart in Lewisburg, Tennessee. The practice focused on Middle Tennessee initially but has grown through the years. In 1984, the firm expanded to Nashville and practiced under the name Thompson & Bussart. In 1986, an additional office in Washington, D.C. was opened. The practice at that time was extended to the entire southeastern United States. In 1994, the firm became Bussart & Medley and the practice focused primarily on all areas of Tennessee with some practice in neighbor states. In lieu of the 2002 addition of Lee Bussart Bowles, the name was changed to Bussart Law Firm in 2004. The hallmark of Bussart Law Firm is and always has been service to clients with legal needs in every echelon of society. We provide counseling, advice, and document drafting in a broad spectrum of legal areas. While we embrace the trend towards alternative dispute resolution, our emphasis remains on trial advocacy.
