What We Do

MedMark Treatment Centers, a BayMark Health Services Company, provides outpatient medication-assisted treatment for opioid addiction utilizing methadone and buprenorphine.

Our evidence-based treatment is supported by substance abuse counseling, case management, community resource referrals and other supportive services to help patients reclaim their lives.

MedMark Supports Communities Nationwide

MedMark expanded from its beginnings in primary care into the opioid use disorder treatment field in 2006. Beginning with the purchase of 3 medication-assisted treatment programs in Northern California, MedMark Treatment Centers has now expanded to 34 programs nationwide.

Our mission is to improve the lives of the patients we serve. To further that mission, MedMark has acquired programs who excel in the areas of patient care and customer service. Our focus is on offering enhanced resources and support to those patients while increasing accessibility to treatment for those still in need of help.

About Us

MedMark Treatment Centers provides outpatient medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for opiate addiction and dependency. Medication-assisted treatment is the use of medication, in combination with counseling and behavioral therapies, to provide an evidence-based, comprehensive approach to recovery.

There are 3 phases in medication-assisted treatment

Induction Phase

The initial dose, whether methadone or buprenorphine, is administered at the clinic. Depending on the medication, the dose may be increased over a short period of time or a larger dose may be used right away. The decision about medication is one that can be made with the physician and intake counselor.

Stabilization Phase

Patients in a medication-assisted treatment program will experience a reduction in cravings and side effects as their proper dose is reached. The absence of physical symptoms allows for counseling and other supportive services to begin to stabilize patients’ lives and address issues that remain after prescription or illicit opiate use has stopped.

Maintenance Phase

This phase occurs when the patient is on a steady dose of medication and is able to maintain a healthier lifestyle. In the maintenance phase, patients may experience the restoration of things once lost and be reestablished as productive members of their families and communities.
