What Is a Detox Program?

Detoxification, or detox, is a short-term inpatient program. The purpose of detox is to allow you to complete the withdrawal process with maximum safety and minimal discomfort. During your time in detox, you will receive round-the-clock care from a team of experienced and compassionate professionals. Depending upon which type of substance you have become addicted to, your time in detox may include medical and/or therapeutic support.

Typical length of stay in detox at Mount Regis Center is three to nine days. Following your successful completion of detox, you can transition directly into your next level of treatment without leaving our center. This ensures continuity of care and protects you from risk of immediate relapse.

What Is a Residential Treatment Program?

Residential treatment at Mount Regis Center is a comprehensive experience that includes a variety of therapeutic activities. Your progress in our residential program will be guided by a personalized treatment plan that is based upon a thorough assessment of your strengths, needs, and goals. Your care will be provided by a multidisciplinary team of experienced professionals.

Common elements that may be a part of your personalized plan include medication management services, individual therapy, various forms of group therapy, family therapy, and several experiential therapies.

Typical length of stay in our residential program is 14 to 21 days, though the duration of your time in this program will be based upon your needs and progress. Following residential treatment, you may transition out of our care, or step down to our partial hospitalization program (PHP) or our intensive outpatient program (PHP).

What Is a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)?

Our partial hospitalization program can be an ideal level of care for men and women who can benefit from step-down support following the completion of residential treatment. PHP is also an excellent option for individuals who need structured, intensive services but do not need round-the-clock monitoring.

While you are in PHP with us, you will complete a full day of treatment each weekday (Mondays through Fridays). In the evenings and on weekends, you will return home or to an alternative residence. Thus, you can begin to practice your new skills and strategies in a real-world environment, while still benefiting from considerable support during each treatment day.

Group therapy is the main means of treatment in PHP, but you will also have the opportunity to participate in family therapy sessions as well as various forms of experiential therapy. Typical length of stay in PHP is 10 to 14 days. After completing PHP, you may step down to our intensive outpatient program (IOP) or transition out of care.
