Founded in 2012, The Law Office of James Steele PLLC continues to grow in size and reputation. Besides the founder, James Steele, the firm includes two associate attorneys, Melissa Nicholson and Raford Bussey, as well as support staff. Attorney James Steele received his legal education at Wake Forest University School of Law, where he earned his degree in 2007. Before founding the firm here in Virginia, Mr. Steele practiced law in North Carolina and New York. He continues to be licensed in all three states. His legal work is focused on traffic offenses, landlord-tenant disputes and estate planning. Melissa Nicholson brings a diverse background to her work as an attorney. Prior to earning her legal degree, Ms. Nicholson proudly served as a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps. She also taught English and history. After completing her legal education at Charlotte School of Law, attorney Nicholson joined our firm and now focuses on traffic offenses and other criminal defense matters.
