AUTOMOBILE ACCIDENTS

What should I do if I’m in a car accident? First, if you are injured, make sure you seek medical treatment immediately. Have someone, if you are unable, obtain names and addresses of any witnesses to the accident.  Make sure the officer records your version of events in his or her Uniform Traffic Report, even if you must contact the officer after receiving medical care. After you have received necessary medical treatment, you should contact an attorney experienced in injury law for guidance on what you should do next.  If the facts regarding the accident, or fault are in dispute, act quickly as accident reconstruction and investigation may be necessary.  The longer you wait, the more likely witnesses disappear, as well as physical evidence which may be present at the scene of the accident. MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENTS

There is nothing like the open road on a motorcycle; fists in the wind, wind in your face, and the freedom that only comes with riding on two wheels. Why do I need an experienced injury attorney, who also rides? Motorcycle accidents can be catastrophic, and will often result in serious injury or even death. Unlike a car or truck, there is no protection around you when a negligent driver strikes you and your motorcycle, or causes you to leave the roadway and crash. Motorcycle cases in particular require an attorney who not only knows injury law and will fight for you, but also understands what it’s like to be a biker surrounded by the perils created by unaware drivers. A motorcycle accident attorney should not only fight for you, but should be a part of the biker community as well. READ MORE…

BIG AND SEMI TRUCK ACCIDENTS

We offer experienced and aggressive legal representation for those injured in large or commercial trucking accidents.  We serve all of Georgia. If someone is in an accident involving a tractor trailer or large commercial truck, the resulting injuries are often severe, or even catastrophic. The injuries of a large trucking accident, like anyautomobile accident or motorcycle accident, may also result in the death of the accident victim. The death of a loved one because of this or any type of accident  leaves the victim’s loved ones to deal with a tragedy that should have never occurred. We are sympathetic to this or any situation involving an injured victim, and are here to help.  We will help you and your family pick up the pieces, and move forward. READ MORE…

DOG BITES AND ATTACKS

Dog bites or an attack by a dog or other animal can be frightening, and lead to serious injuries. The best course of action when it comes to a dog bite or dog attack is to exercise caution and common sense to prevent dog attacks.  Here are a few examples of how to prevent being bitten or attacked by a dog:

  • Make sure to educate your children on how to behave around all animals, particularly unfamiliar dogs.  Children should avoid getting near the dogs face, petting the animal without permission, and making loud noises. This may cause the dog to feel threatened, and result in a bite or attack.
  • Never approach a dog who is unknown to you, particularly on someone else’s property. Dogs who are not by nature vicious can be very protective of their property or owners, young, and food;
  • If you are a pet owner, it is important to have male dogs neutered.  Territorial and aggressive behavior is often lessened by altering a male. This also prevents pet overpopulation, which is a plus.
  • If you are a pet owner, a permanent or invisible fence is a must, if a dog will be outside at any time and not  on a leash.  READ MORE...
SLIP AND FALL ACCIDENTS

Have you been injured as a result of a slip and fall accident? According to Georgia law, when a person is injured on the property of another, certain circumstances allow for monetary recovery by the injured party. If you find yourself in a situation where you have been injured, here are a few tips to follow if possible:

  •  If you are in a retail store, make sure to immediately notify management of your injury;
  •  Make sure the manager or other employee fill out an incident report, and find out where and when to obtain a copy;
  •  Inquire as to whether a video system exists, and request a copy of the video.  Your attorney can also assist with this process.
  •  If there were any witnesses to your injury, obtain their names and contact information;
  •  While it is best to follow these recommendations, all situations are different, and therefore may not always  apply.  If you have been injured to the point of needing medical attention, that should always be your priority.  If a friend or family member is present, they may be able to assist you with following these  recommendations while you seek medical attention.  READ MORE…
WRONGFUL DEATH CASES

Wrongful death occurs when a person acts negligently or without exercising due care, thereby causing an accident which results in the death of another motorist, passenger or other individual.  Driving on our roads can be inherently dangerous, and no matter how carefully you drive, another person’s negligent act may cause an unavoidable accident at any time. We also understand that the family of a wrongful death victim has suffered the ultimate loss. While no amount of money will change what has occurred, we will fight for what is right and seek compensation to pay bills, which will help provide the financial stability a family needs to mend themselves and move forward.  READ MORE…
