A person will be required to have an interlock device installed in their vehicle for a period of time equal to the driver license suspension time for any alcohol related DWI offense. After a DUI/DWI offense, the Arkansas Court and Driver’s License Agency issues Ignition Interlock requirements for first-time offenders for a six month suspension and they must show proof of installation to the Department of Driver Control. In addition, they must show proof of periodic reports and must complete an approved drug and alcohol education or treatment program. They must also pay a $150.00 fee per offense.
