The state of Kentucky may issue restricted driving privileges to a driver who has been revoked due to an alcohol-related DUI. The court may order an Ignition Interlock device to be installed on the violator’s vechile after the driver serves a statutory suspension period. The ignition interlock device prevents a driver from operating that vehicle if the driver’s BAC is at .02% or greater.
The driver must first apply with the convicting court and be ordered to participate. The driver will then submit an Ignition Interlock Application and a non-refundable application to the Kentucky Division of Driver License.
